Arrow Bank Announces $38,000 Emergency Food Relief GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (October 31, 2025) — In response to the ongoing federal government shutdown and uncertainty surrounding November SNAP benefits, Arrow Bank has announced emergency food relief totaling $38,000 to support local food pantries across its service area. Each of the bank’s 38 branches will contribute $1,000 to a food pantry serving the branch location’s market area, helping to address the immediate needs of individuals and families facing food insecurity. Even as the situation continues to evolve, Arrow is taking action now to help minimize uncertainty and provide stability for those who may experience hardship in the weeks ahead. “We know how deeply a disruption like this can affect families, both in our communities and within our own team,” said Dave DeMarco, President and CEO of Arrow Bank. “As a community bank, it’s our responsibility to look out for one another. As these disruptions persist, we aren’t going anywhere. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and look for more ways to help where and when it’s needed most. This effort reflects who we are; neighbors helping neighbors.” The bank’s donation is part of a broader effort to reduce insecurity and strengthen support networks during the shutdown. Throughout the fourth quarter, Arrow Bank will also continue its “Collecting for a Cause” initiative, gathering essential items such as nonperishable food, toys, clothing, books, hygiene products and pet food at branch locations across our footprint. More information on how to participate, including what items each branch is collecting, can be found at arrowbank.com/collecting-for-a-cause. “In the spirit of our annual Thankful Campaign that kicks off in November, we want to take gratitude one step further, by turning it into action,” DeMarco added. “We are thankful for the strength and generosity that define our communities, and we’re committed to helping them through whatever comes next.” Part of the Arrow Family of Companies, Arrow Bank National Association is a commercial bank headquartered in Glens Falls, New York, serving eight counties in northeastern New York.
