Unfortunately, scammers are always looking for new ways to steal people’s money and personal information. The most effective way to keep yourself safe from fraud is to never share your personal information, login IDs or passwords with anyone! Also, use complex and varied passwords, multi-factor authentication when available, and be cautious when browsing online before doing anything online.
Arrow Bank will never request your personal information, such as Social Security number, login ID or password, over the phone or through an email or text message. Government agencies such as the IRS and reputable companies won’t ask for this information either.
If the email or text message has strange phrasing or typos, it’s probably a scam. Anytime a message or phone call requests your personal information, it’s a scam. If the message presses you to quickly send money, it’s likely a scam.

Spam phone calls seem to be increasing and becoming more convincing. A call-blocking app on your cell phone may help reduce the number of spam calls you receive. If you download a call-blocking app, be sure you are downloading it from the official app provider of your cell phone brand (Apple App Store, Google Play, etc).
